The annual One Globe Forum brings together global thought leaders to discuss how we build a 21st century knowledge economy in India and South Asia. It is India's leading conference exploring the intersection of technology, innovation, smart cities, skills, regional collaboration and education and their role in building a 21st century knowledge economy.
India and larger South Asia (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Afghanistan & Maldives) account for nearly a quarter of the world's population and the region has played a historical role in the development of the world economy. India alone has one of the youngest demographics in the world with 54% of its 1.3 billion people under the age of 25.
At One Globe 2017 we will focus on ideas, issues and impact of the new government's ambitious agenda to transform India into a 21st century knowledge economy through its initiatives like "Digital India", "Make in India" and "Smart Cities".

Enabling Social Venture Entrepreneurs for Development
The scale of challenges faced by India in terms of education, skills, and employment are too large to be solved by either government or the private sector. The social sector will play an important role in enabling development and growth across both urban and rural India. What are some of the challenges and opportunities related to starting, scaling and funding social venture entrepreneurs? What can leading NGO’s do to help build capacity in the social sector? Are there interesting models from India and other parts of the world that can be adopted to enable social venture entrepreneurs?
