After getting a Master’s degree of Computer Science at Tsukuba Univ. in Japan, Mr. Tamura joined Hitachi in 1986.
He has been involved with IT systems at customers such as bank, government, global enterprise Hitachi itself and so on. For that, he studied at Stanford University, working with Hitachi's software, hardware, and other teams for 30 years.
Mr. Tamura also has a variety of experience with partners of multiple countries including the US and Asia. In April 2015, shifted from Bangalore to Delhi, where he works currently. The goal of his team is to work in India, with India, for India regarding IT systems. Hitachi is a social infrastructure company working for the society, in this case for India.
Hitachi is seeing if Japan and Hitachi can work for India in several fields as India needs varieties of projects as an emerging country. At the same time, Hitachi has been working with Indian companies and organizations for the world as He believes Japan and India can work even further and broader for the world understanding each other better.
For those purposes, he is learning about India by, for instance, having watched 300 Indian movies, read 200 books, visited 63 Smart City project sites, and 27 states so far.
