Heather Timmons runs India Ink, The New York Times's first-ever country-specific web initiative, which provides news and analysis about India and the Indian diaspora through a team of reporters in India and around the globe.

She has lived in India for the past five years, working as a reporter for The New York Times. Previously she was a reporter for The New York Times in London, and banking editor with Businessweek magazine in New York.
