Consular Officer, American Embassy,

Monica Shie is currently working as a Consular Officer at the American Embassy in New Delhi. Previously, she served as the Public Diplomacy Officer for South Asia at the U.S. Department of State in Washington D.C. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Ms. Shie taught English language and literature at Hunter College in New York and at the Royal University of Phnom Penh in Cambodia.

Ms. Shie began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand. She holds a Masters degree in education from Columbia University.
