Research Associate, ASER Centre,
Purnima is a Research Associate at ASER Centre. She responsible for planning and implementation of research and assessment studies conducted in the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana. She also plays an active part in devising dissemination activities for ASER so that information percolates to different levels of the Government, administration and citizenry. She assisted in a study titled 'Inside Primary Schools - A study of teaching and learning in rural India' and is currently involved in a study on the impact of early childhood learning on children's educational and behavorial outcomes along the primary stage.
Prior to ASER Centre, Purnima worked with rural community-based organisations on issues of livelihood, displacement, migration and agrarian crisis in India.
