Visiting Professor of Business Policy, IIMA,
Dr. Shailendra Mehta is Visiting Professor of Business Policy at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He returned to India to head the collaboration between Duke University’s Corporate Education arm, Duke CE and IIM-Ahmedabad. He has strong research interests in the areas of Technology Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Simulation.
His research on Simulation has resulted in the creation of Hi-tech company and a US patent. He has taught/ consulted with senior leaders worldwide of IBM, Microsoft, Infosys, State Bank of India and others. His research has been profiled in the Economist and in over ten languages around the world. He teaches very highly rated courses on Technology Strategy and Entrepreneurship at IIM-Ahmedabad.
Prior to returning to India in 2006 to set up the collaboration between IIM-A and Duke CE, he taught Economics and Strategy for many years at Purdue University, where he received the Class of 1922 Award for Teaching and Helping Students Learn.
His BA and MA are from Delhi University, his M.Phil is from Balliol College Oxford and his Ph.D. in Economics is from Harvard.
