Robin J. Lewis is Professor and Director of the new Master of Global Public Policy (MGPP) program at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) in Moscow. He is also Professor and Director of the Global Partnership Network at the School of Social Development and Public Policy (SSDPP) at Beijing Normal University, China’s top think-tank and graduate program in public policy.
Dean Lewis is the former Associate Dean of the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) in New York, the largest American graduate professional program in its field. He held this position from 1985 to 2007, and during this time he trained and advised several thousand future global professionals from over a hundred countries around the world, also serving as the Director of the Master of International Affairs (MIA) program, SIPA’s oldest and largest degree program, founded in 1946. He also was the first Executive Director of the Global Public Policy Network (GPPN), an innovative partnership between SIPA and top universities in London, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo, Berlin, and Sao Paulo. Over the past twenty-five years, he has advised governments, universities, foundations, and international organizations on higher education and professional training, working in more than twenty countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe. He has M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University. He is a founding partner of Worldview Global Consulting, a Beijing-based public policy and economic development firm.
