Professor, University of Texas and 3 times Fullbright Scholar to India

Prof George Mclemore, since his days as an American Peace Corps Volunteer in West Bengal villages, India and South Asia have been prominent in George McLemore’s professional and personal life.  As a three-time Fulbright Senior Scholar he taught Media Criticism atManipal University in Karnataka, Business& Professional Communication and Photography at the Mudra Institute of Communication of Ahmedabad in Gujarat and directed the establishment of a new MA program in Communication Studies at the Institute of Advanced Communication, Education and Research (affiliated with Pokhura University) in Kathmandu, Nepal.  A long-time faculty member in the Department of Communication at the University of Texas-Pan American Dr. McLemore directed students in numerous Education Abroad programs to Spain, Mexico, Turkey, Greece and India.   On the faculty of the 2010 Semester-At-Sea round-the-world voyage to 13 countries under the auspices of the University of Virginia, he taught Film Studies and Cross-Cultural Communication. Commissioned by the French human rights NGO GroupeDeveloppement Dr. McLemore, a documentary photographer, published Jessore Road-Journey To Fight Human Trafficking India to Bangladesh.  McLemore holds a Ph.D in Rhetorical Theory and Intercultural Communication from the University of Pittsburgh.
