Felix W. Ortiz III is a Brooklyn born and raised entrepreneur who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army 18th Airborne Corps and JAG Corps, and then attended St. John’s University.
Felix is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Viridis Learning, an education technology company that combines workforce education and human capital solutions for the middle-skill workforce.
Felix is passionate about entrepreneurship, having started several companies, including Visionary Trade & Export, which he founded at age 20. After several multi-million dollar deals through this venture, Felix turned his sights toward helping others.
In 2008, Felix had the privilege of serving on the National Finance Committee Council for then-presidential candidate Barack Obama, and was a member of the Advisory Group for International Trade & Economics on the Obama-Biden Transition Team. During the 2012 presidential campaign, Felix served as a national co-chair of Gen44, where he combined his entrepreneurship experience with his youthful energy to engage the next generation in civic and political involvement. In late 2013, Felix was selected to be part of NYC Mayor-Elect Bill DeBlasio Technology subcommittee.
Today, Felix maintains a very healthy and active lifestyle from his home in New York City, which is focused on a healthy vegan diet, a morning 6:00 a.m. gym ritual, and spending time with his new puppy, Lucky.
