Ravichandar is Chairman of Feedback Consulting (www.feedbackconsulting.com), a leading research and consulting firm in India that has been part of over US$ 6 bn investments in India. He is  Honorary Consul, Republic of Slovenia (www.slovenia.si) in Karnataka .

Ravichandar is one of the 3 members of the Expert Committee on BBMP (Bangalore City Corporation) Restructuring exercise (www.bbmprestructuring.org). Ravichandar actively involved in evangelizing the idea of Corporates and Civil Society coming together to work with Government on a City Connect platform (operational in 5 cities – (www.cityconnect.in) to improve the quality of life in their city. He is also a co-Founder, Centre for Public Problem Solving (CPPS) that works on finding practical solutions for civic challenges – an innovative Neighbourhood Improvement Partnership is underway in Bengaluru through (www.citizensforthecity.in). Ravichandar is the co-Chair of the Karnataka Tourism Vision Group.

Ravichandar has been active on urban issues in India on a pro bono basis since 2000. He was a key member of the Bangalore Agenda Task Force (BATF - a public-private initiative catalyzed by the then State Chief Minister) from 2000-04. He designed the city’s Self-Assessment Scheme of Property tax. Ravichandar along with three others was involved in evangelizing the setting up of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JN-NURM) funded by the Union Government in 2005.

Ravichandar is assisting multiple social and cultural initiatives – Bangalore International Centre (www.bicentre.org); Education for the underprivileged through Vidya Poshak (www.vidyaposhak.org), Samhita Academy (www.thesamhitaacademy.com), Akshara Foundation (www.akshara.org.in); Bangalore Literature Festival (www.bangaloreliteraturefestival.org); Takshashila Foundation (www.takshashila.org.in); Attakkalari Biennial (www.attakkalari.org), etc.

Ravichandar has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad with over 35 years industry experience.
