Associate Dean for Global Outreach at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business
William W. Kooser is the Associate Dean for Global Outreach at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is responsible for developing relationships with key government, business, and media leaders to promote the school, and identify ways to further raise the school’s stature and increase activity. He is based in Hong Kong.
During his long career with Chicago Booth, Mr. Kooser has held a wide variety of roles. Beginning in 1987 and through 2009, Mr. Kooser directed many of the schools administrative and programmatic departments – including Director of Admissions, Director of Career Services, and from 1998 to 2009 Associate Dean for Executive MBA Programs.
From 2009 to 2013, Mr. Kooser was appointed as Associate Dean for Students at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. He was responsible for admissions, student services, career services and financial aid for Carey’s 1600 students in a variety of full time and part time business programs. He returned to Chicago Booth in 2013 to take up his current role.
Mr. Kooser received his B.A. from Yale University in 1978 and an MBA from the full time program at Chicago Booth in 1981. He also holds an MBA from the Katholieke Universiteit te Leuven in Leuven, Belgium.
