Yatish Rajawat is a public policy expert and manages strategy and partnerships at LocalCircles.
Earlier, Yatish was the Group Managing Editor of Dainik Bhaskar, a leading newspaper group in India where he was responsible for starting the first Hindi Business newspaper. He also headed the editorial function for the group with presence in more than 250 cities and news papers in three Indian languages. He was the first Technology Editor of India’s largest business newspaper Economic Times in 1999 and was awarded the Best Journalist of the Year Award by Madhu Valluri Foundation in 2002. Prior to that, Yatish was part of the founding team at Bridge News in India, and also involved in establishing The Hindu Business Line editorial operations in Mumbai.
Yatish is also a frequent contributor and policy commentator for Firstpost.com, Businessworld magazine, Forbes India and several Hindi and Gujarati publications. He is a regular policy commentator for public broadcasters Rajya Sabha TV, Lok Sabha TV, ABP and several other private news channels. He is also founder of India’s only urban think tank Livable Habitats that works in the area of urbanization. And a fellow at the Institute of Competitiveness, India, the Indian knot in the global network of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School.
Yatish is an MBA from Mumbai University and graduate in honours from Delhi University.
