Rajesh Rege, Managing Director, Red Hat, heads the India Operations of the world's leading provider of open source solutions. A business leader with nearly three decades of rich industry experience, he is chartered with engaging stakeholders across communities spanning customers, partners, regulatory & policy making bodies as well as eco-system partners in adopting open innovation to its fullest potential.

Rajesh’s mandate also includes working closely with all RedHat business units in advancing the company wide open source portfolio to meet customer needs in India and guiding the partner eco-system of Red Hat in providing scalable enterprise solutions.

Earlier in his career Rajesh has worked with highly regarded companies like Cisco as Director and country head, Data Center & Cloud Business for India & SAARC. With Sun Microsystems in various leadership roles, he was responsible for Sun's engagement in the Enterprise, Mid-market & SMB segment.

Rajesh is an alumnus of the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka. Based in Bangalore, he is an avid traveller, Motorcycle enthusiast, passionate environmentalist, avid reader and a collector of books on biographies and management.
