Shweta Rajpal Kohli is the Head of Public Policy, Uber India. An award winning journalist and former TV Anchor, Shweta has a pivotal role in leading Uber’s policy dialogues.
Prior to joining Uber, Shweta was the Economic Affairs Editor of NDTV. With Over 18 years in the media industry, Shweta has been a leading Indian journalist at the forefront of policy and news developments.
Shweta has received several awards including two of the country’s most prestigious journalism awards given by Presidents of India: Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism by President Pratibha Patil in June 2010 and the Business Standard - Seema Nazareth Award for Young Print Journalists under 25 by President KR Narayanan at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in February 2001.
Shweta has attended specialized courses for financial journalists at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and INSEAD Business School, Singapore in 2008. As a recipient of the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship for Young Print Journalists, she studied at the University of Westminster and worked briefly at The Sunday Times, London in 2003.
Shweta has completed a specialized Post Graduate course in Business Management via satellite from XLRI, Jamshedpur in 2005. A Masters in Political Science, and a Delhi University Topper in BA (Honours) Journalism from Lady Shri Ram College New Delhi
