Shweta Sastri is the Executive Director and Board Member of Canadian International School, Bangalore(CIS) – a Sterling Developers group venture. Shweta joined CIS in 2006 to further accelerate academic and business performance, leading to significant infrastructural expansion and multiple awards including being rated the 5th best international school in the country. Shweta primarily focuses on visioning and performance across all aspects of the school including inorganic expansion. Her expertise lies in education management, finance, strategy, leadership, and governance. She is one of the youngest education-entrepreneurs in the country.
Shweta plays a significant role in driving CIS strategic plan which guarantees that the educational programmes and the quality of teaching and learning, meet the needs and standards of the school community.
Shweta is also a Director at Sterling Developers. Having worked on deals involving land acquisition, consolidation and registration, her focus now is on converting the group’s land bank into marketable and saleable assets.
Shweta has a Masters degree (MSc) in Management with a focus on Governance in Organisations, from the prestigious London School of Economics (LSE), UK; and an MSc in Investment Banking from the ICMA centre, University of Reading, UK.
Prior to joining CIS, Shweta was an investment banker with experience in areas of IPO execution, private equity and corporate finance in companies including Morgan Stanley and Siemens AG.
