Country Manager, Payoneer
Rohit Kulkarni is a senior professional with over 18 years of work experience in the payment, e-commerce, internet, consumer products & services, and financial services industry. In his career, he has worked across various verticals - marketing, sales, distribution, product management, and operations. He has also launched multiple new businesses, programs and services in finance, e-commerce & internet industries catering to the retail and SMB verticals.
At Payoneer, he is responsible for setting up the India business, offering X-Border payment solutions to SMBs, freelancers, service providers, and goods sellers. Mr. Kulkarni has also worked with Amazon, Yahoo! India, and GE Capital. At Amazon, he led seller marketing and new business initiatives such as the 3P business to launch Amazon.in. He also launched the books, movies, and home & kitchen categories on Amazon.in, in addition to being a part of the Junglee.com launch team. At Yahoo! India, Mr. Kulkarni also served as the National Channel Manager. During this stint, he independently set up a channel network and launched the SMB product lines in India. At GE Money, he headed operations for the western India retail assets business.
In 2000, Mr. Kulkarni graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the Savitribai Phule Pune University. He also has a Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage from the Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology.
