Stephen Mascarenhas headsthe Prime Focus Academy of Media and Entertainment Studies (PFAMES), a step down subsidiary of Prime Focus Limited, established to provide world-class training in AVGC industry.  

In addition to PFAMES, Mr. Mascarenhas also leads pan-India operations for the Prime Focus Stereo Conversion Division, including oversight of HR, Recruitment, Training, as well as being the point person for Production for all admin and system-related needs. He works closely with his counterparts in the UK and North America to ensure that international projects are successfully executed and delivered.

Mr. Mascarenhas has been an integral part of the growth of the stereo conversion offering in India since its inception. Since his first project, delivering 1,700 shots for Clash of the Titans (2010), managing artists across Mumbai, Hyderabad and Goa, Mr. Mascarenhas has not looked back, delivering over 40 conversion projects in the past few years, including The Martian (Advanced Imaging Society winner), Ant-Man, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Guardians of the Galaxy (International 3D Society winner), Transformers: Age of Extinction, Star Wars: Episodes I-III and Gravity (International 3D Society winner).

In 2015, when Prime Focus acquired stereo conversion company Gener8, Mr. Mascarenhas played an important role in setting up a new Indian facility for the company, and putting together the processes and procedures for the new studio.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Mascarenhas was Head of VFX Production (Film) for Prime Focus in India, working on some of the biggest blockbusters in Bollywood, including Paa (2009), Blue (2009), and Chandni Chowk to China (2009), having already proven himself following stints as Executive Assistant to the CEO and latterly as Operations Manager.

A people person with an interesting background, before joining Prime Focus Mr. Mascarenhas worked as a trainee chef, a prolific theatrical actor, a basketball coach, a teacher, a voice-over artist and a sports commentator for ESPN Star Sports in Singapore.
