Sukriti Chauhan, an INLAKS scholar, is a trained lawyer with a Master’s in International Development Law and Human Rights from Warwick University, UK. She has over nine years of experience in public health and human rights with a focus on gender issues. Before joining GHS, she was working in the areas of HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, sexual reproductive health, cervical cancer prevention and maternal and child health at the PATH India Office. At GHS, Sukriti led the Tuberculosis Control and Prevention project as well as the Grand Challenges in Global Health initiative.
Sukriti has recently concluded her PhD titled ‘Legal and Social Impact of HIV/AIDS on Abandoned Housewives in Kolkata and Delhi’ from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She is currently working on a project that aims to raise the discourse on family planning methods in 6 target states in the country, and the Grand Challenges India project with the Ministry of Science and Development.
