Secondary Principal, The British School
Dr. Timothy Fryer has been an educator for over 30 years and is the Secondary School Principal at The British School, New Delhi, a post he has held since July 2015. From 2012 he was Secondary Vice-Principal at GEMS American Academy, Abu Dhabi. Between 1998 and 2012 he worked at the Chinese International School, Hong Kong holding a number of pastoral and leadership roles and teaching Chemistry to IBDP. Prior to that, he worked in Botswana, London and at Frankfurt International School, Germany. Dr. Fryer read for a B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry at Nottingham Trent University where he subsequently completed a PGCE. He also holds an M.A. in Education from the University of Bath and is a Doctor of Education (ED.D) from the University of Leicester, with a specialism in Educational Management. In 2009 he published an article based on his doctoral thesis in the Journal of Research in International Education entitled Stakeholder experiences of a dual-language international school: A qualitative case study of a private international school in Hong Kong. He is an assistant examiner for IBDP Chemistry and a Council of International Schools accreditation visiting team member.
