As Senior Assistant Editor at The Economic Times, Dipanjan Roy Chaudhury writes on foreign and strategic affairs. Prior to that, he was Program Director at the Aspen Institute India, and a journalist with Mail Today (India Today Group), the India Bureau of Kuwait News Agency, and United News of India (UNI). He is also a commentator on Indian Foreign Policy on All India Radio.
He has participated in several roundtables, courses and programs, including the first Indo-Russian media roundtable organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in 2017, US State Department International Leadership Visitors Program in 2015, the National Development Course at Fu Hsing Kang College, Ministry of National Defence, Republic of China (Taiwan) in 2008, and a summer course at the International Institute for Journalism, Hamburg, Germany (2005).
He earned his postgraduate diploma in Journalism (New Media) from the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai, and an MA in International Relations and BA (Honours) in Political Science from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
He is the author of a number of books on India’s Northeast, Bangladesh and Kazakhstan.
