Currently the Managing Director and CEO, Cambridge University Press – South Asia, as Global Operating and Management lead, Ratnesh Jha has been involved in setting up businesses and large operations from the ground up in Telecom, Technology, Finance & Banking and Education sectors in South Asia and South-East Asia.
Ratnesh is skilled at establishing operational excellence within culturally diverse environments, translating conceptual models into specific growth strategies and planning/executing multi-faceted global businesses.
He takes an active interest in mentoring and supporting startups in the Education Technology, Deep Learn-ing, AI, AR/VR, Fin-tech and Health sectors with issues relating to IP as well as scale in India and abroad. Ratnesh continues to present his views on India, Technology, Startups as well as Disruption and Innovation in the national media (both print and TV).
At Cambridge University Press, Ratnesh chairs the India board and is a member of the global education board. He chairs FICCI publishing and content committees and is the immediate past president of API. In his assignments, he works closely with various stakeholders such as the government on policy matters, across industries (Education, IT, Telecom, etc.) in building synergies on policy matters such as Copyrights and other IP issues.
He strongly believes that Digital and data are the next ‘oil’ for growth vehicles in which South Asia and South-East Asia are the prime growth engines.
Ratnesh holds a Management degree from North-Western University – Kellogg School of Management and is an alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University and Cambridge University.
