Estonian Ambassador to India
Ambassador Kruuv was born in 1972 in Tartu. He graduated from the University of Tartu in 1995 where he studied business administration and banking. He finished Estonian School of Diplomacy in 1996. In 2003, Kruuv graduated from George Mason University with an MA in international commerce and policy. Riho Kruuv has worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1996, when he started in the department of accounting as Director of Budgeting and Economy. From 1997-1999 Kruuv worked as an Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, from 1999-2004 as a diplomat in the Embassy in Washington and from 2004-2006 as a counsellor on strategy and development issues. From 2006 -2007 he continued at the External Economic and Development Cooperation Department as a Director of the Energy and Environment Division, from 2007 – 2009 worked Kruuv as the Director of Arms and Export Control Division and from 2009 – 2013 was he in charge of the Embassy of Estonia in Ottawa. Since the summer of 2013 worked Kruuv in the Political Department as a Counsellor on Security Policy and Arms Control.
