Electing the Future: India's 130 Million New Voters at One Globe Forum

The 2019 general elections in India welcomed into its fold a whopping 130 million new voters from the youth demographic in the age group of 18-19 years. While the first-time voters were entrusted with the unique opportunity to change the destinies of political parties, our esteemed panelists at One Globe Forum 2019 agreed that they should also be encouraged by government and NGOs to exercise their fundamental right to vote. Youth participation in the electoral process will form the bedrock of a strong and progressive democracy.
